The hike in the Sibillini Mountains was an adventure at every level. The 10-car caravan through the mountain roads was thrilling in its own right. Parking was a challenge. The hike was vigorous. The Mitchel boys ran ahead and tried to hike all the way back to Petritoli. Emily lost her entire shoe in the muck. Sue almost lost it down the side of a hill. And the hikers were almost starved due to a slight miscommunication between Matt and Andrea. In the end we found a magnificent waterfall and all became closer friends during the drive time.
